The Last Day: 28 June 2014, Saturday

Sadly, our time on PEI came to an end. We are so grateful for Lena's Aunt and her friend Shannon. Not only did we get to stay in their cute little house, but they helped us figure out where to go, what to see and what to eat! They are fabulous.

We decided to end our trip with a donut contest between Timmy's and Robin's. We purchased our favorite donut (the old fashioned sour cream) from each place and did a taste test. The opinions varied among us, but in the end I think Robin's actually won.

And we couldn't leave the Island without trying the famous canadian poutine!

Canoeing on a lake in Victoria by the sea was lovely.

Potato fudge. We weren't big fans.

Collecting red sand to take home. :)
Anne and Gilbert was such a cute musical! We enjoyed it very much. Lara is still singing "Gilbert loves Anne of Green Gables...". Of course we had to try the raspberry cordial, which tasted suspiciously like cherry 7up to me. Sorry about the quality of these pictures. I don't know what happened.

BOOMburger hamburgers. Mmmmm.
We stayed the night at the Tidal Bore Inn (cheapest motel I could find that still seemed safe) and traveled back to Provo on Sunday. We had much better luck with flights coming back than we did going. :) We got on every flight.

And so we lived our dream of visiting Anne Country. And it was glorious.
